What do the percentages for the sound of The Unforgiving mean?
They come from an acoustic analysis of the recordings as they are on Spotify: per track a score from 0 to 100 for energy, danceability, mood and acoustic, plus the tempo and the key. They are the outcome of a model, not a measurement of the music itself; 93% acoustic means the model is fairly sure that mostly acoustic instruments are heard. The sound of the album is the average of its tracks, each track counting equally, and the comparison is with the average of all analysed tracks in the collection.
How do you play The Unforgiving?
With the round Spotify button after each track, or the whole album at once via the play button next to the cover. The music plays in the player at the bottom of the page and keeps going while you browse on. This needs one-time consent for Spotify.
